Ghana Independence

Ghana 55th Independence has made a mark from Ghanaians all over, showing how proud we really are.The tweets, BBM broadcasts, Facebook posts, YouTube videos and blogs has connected Ghanaians and friends of Ghana to come together.But the celebrations don't stop!With the well known Ghanaian music coming from the homeland, USA, Canada and of course the UK, what would be a great way to celebrate? 


On Saturday 3rd March, Ghana's 55th Independence Celebration was held at the Indigo 02 Arena with live guest performances. The event was hosted by Choice FM’s DJ Abrantee, and there was a strong, line up of Ghanaian talent.Live performances from R2BEES with tracks such as "Kiss My Hand", "Ajei"  as well as Stay J "Shashee Wowo", "Yenko Nkoaa" , UK AfroBeat group Vibe Squad "Wadi Mi Sika", "Dance With Me" , May7ven "Ten Ten", Mista Silva, A-Star, Flava and Kwamz "Bo Won Sem Ma Me".Plus there was a couple of surprise appearances, Derry Mensah from Xfactor 2011's group "The Risk", and Tinchy Stryder, who also performed his unofficial verse on R2Bees' "Kiss My Hand".


This event was a success and everything went smoothly, with given good feedback for the night, for most, including myself to continue to celebrate Ghana's 55th Independence throughout.
